Just sent my pics and info to Paiste Cymbals to be included on their website. Very exciting. I'll post a link when they put up my page. Also, Fashion Bomb's video for The Meek is now on VEVO. So amped about this. I think it's a huge step and hopefully will get us a lot of new eyes and ears. The new music is ridiculous. Best shit I've ever been a part of hands down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGa8elEHqSM Um... starting reshoots for a few lessons in my drum book/DVD, "All Beat Up (A Drum-Torial) tomorrow night. So busy, but it's a good thing. Total for September is 6 shows with 5 different bands. So far in October I'm booked for 3 shows with 3 bands. Getting a ton more students now that school's starting and I'm even teaching a couple of guitar classes. Nothing sucks right now. Thanks everyone who came to see us in Milwaukee and rocked out to our brand new songs "Erstwhile" and "DeathMarch"! You guys are all my favorite! Stay posted on our upcoming dates. Fashion Bomb is starting to travel again. You never know where we could end up! HOLLA! |

Hello all....just a quick update today. Was at the sold out Hollywood Undead show hosted by Q101 last night. I have to say, I was disappointed that 10 Years did not play, as they were the primary reason I went, but alas, you can't win them all. I have to say the crowd was raucous, and the stage show for Hollywood Undead was pretty cool... Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, while not usually my thing, was solid live. Hit the town afterward for a couple hours, and now back to work! I am really looking forward to tearing it up at Another Hole In the Wall on June 4.... and in the next couple days we should be announcing a big show for the end of June/ early July... stay tuned there is definitely more to come!! |

It has been a little while since I posted a Fashion File, but I have been out and about at numerous shows lately, all the while working on writing and getting some business done...as well as taking a short vacation after our national tour with Ill Nino! In the time off, we managed to go see our friends from tour Ekotren tear it up in Peoria, I hung out with our boys in A New Revolution when they played House of Blues here for the Drowning Pool tour, and only last night made it to see Straight Line Stitch and In This Moment bring down the house in the suburbs! And on June 4th, Fashion Bomb will be playing an All Ages show in Steger, IL...it is really close to the old Pearl Room, so all our south side and city friends should be able to get there easily! Our good friends in Habit of Force are having a cd release show for their new album, and asked us to come bring the noise....how could we refuse? So mark your calendars, we will even be playing a brand new song for the first time anywhere...and some songs we rarely play live! Also, at the end of July, I will be heading the Philadelphia to host Trashfest USA...this is a two day event, held for the first time here in the US...Trashfest has been going strong in Europe for years, and Mama Trash is bringing the party here. I will be hosting along with Skinny from Deathstars, and there will be a slew of other well known artists playing and participating...there will even be an all star band performance featuring yours truly, Skinny, Andy from Combichrist, and many, many more... so for all our Philadelphia and Allentown friends....July 22 and 23 will be epic! Stay tuned, there is much more to come!! |

So we’re blazing down the road en route to The Palladium in Worcester MA and it occurs to me that I should update you guys on some things that are going on right now. Last night was our day off. We spent it hanging out at Foxwoods Casino in CT with Ill Nino and Ekotren. It was seriously awesome. I believe I was the only one on the tour who ended up winning money!
Tonight we’re playing The Palladium. I used to go see shows there when I was at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Great venue. I couldn’t be more psyched. My favorite Palladium moment has to be interviewing Chris Jericho for The Metal Show, a radio show my best friend and I did in college. He was a great dude, giving us the interview even though his tour manager made it clear he wanted the band to pack up and move on to the next venue. So in less than a week we’ll be back in beautiful Chicago IL, home sweet home, rocking all of you at Reggie’s. I can’t wait to play a full hour set and celebrate our homecoming with all you guys. We’re coming back a changed band and you won’t want to miss this show. I don’t want to look past the shows we have left: Worcester MA, 3 NY shows and one in PA so I’ll just say, I hope to see you all very soon! |

The 60+ degree weather here in Louisiana is a definite plus...and it set up an amazing show at City Club in Houma last night! Louisiana metal fans surely know how to rock, and a big thank you to all our new friends! We even managed to rock so hard we blew 3 circuits during Exsanguinate! But the power made it back on, and the show went great. We will definitely be back soon......onward to Atlanta....more to come! |

The snow finally caught us, but we outmaneuvered it again! Texas has been an awesome 4 night leg... San Antonio was packed, and everyone was moshing like a riot had broken out! Beaumont had some of the most energetic fans of the tour, and was an awesome show... we also had to say a temporary goodbye to our new friend and Ill Nino drum tech Nickelbag, who had to go home to get his back in order. We will be wishing you the best and thinking about you the rest of the tour! After the Beaumont show, we headed for Dallas....and Trees did not disappoint! Our friend Clint, who also happens to play with Vanilla Ice on tour, owns this great club, and he and his staff made us very welcome! My friend Marc Colombo of the Dallas Cowboys braved the ice and came out to rock...it was great to see him again, and he should have new music out soon too, for his band Free Reign! The Dallas fans were awesome, and after the show we drove to our suites at the Hilton Homewood Suites in Allen, TX...probably the most pimped out suites around there for some much needed rest. The next day, that snow and ice I mentioned before delayed us big time, but our Chi-town driving skills saw us through...and on to the show in Houston. Houston wins the Ill Nino sing along award....huge crowd, knew every lyric....and again showed us some great hospitality! They like their metal in Texas...so thank you Lone Star state...we look forward to coming back!! Onward to Louisiana....more to come!! |

Holy Crap Texas! We’ve never played here before but all 3 towns so far have given us the best receptions! Despite snow and ice and total horrible weather, you guys have come around for the Restore The Insanity Tour and shown your love for Fashion Bomb, and we couldn’t appreciate it more! Dallas was one of the wildest crowds I’ve ever played in front of. You guys are insane maniacs and I love it! San Antonio definitely brought it and Beaumont was really awesome. I can’t wait to see what Houston has to offer!
A few highlights of the tour: Farmington NM brought us the best meal of the tour so far and definitely the most interesting Ill Nino set. Count’s Vamp’d in Las Vegas was amazing and my mom even made the trip all the way from AZ to check us out. Santa Rosa CA was rad and playing the Sunset Strip in LA was amazing. That place was like the Colonial Williamsburg or rock. It was really cool to play somewhere with so much history. Everywhere we’ve been the crowds have been great and super responsive. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart. I want to mention that playing around Chicago all the time and teaching, I knew I was lucky to have the life I do. But Rocking out to crowds in every state and playing music that I love for new people 5-6 nights a week is about the best thing I’ve ever done. Thanks to all of you who come to the shows, watch Fashion Bomb give you everything we have and then buy our merch, get something signed or just drop us a kind word. It’s because of you that I can lead the life that I do and it’s absolutely my honor to give all of you every ounce of energy in my body every single night. Thank you. Tomorrow night we will be in Houston for the first time and after that, Fashion Bomb makes our return to Louisiana. Except this time we’re coming armed with Drones 1 and 3. Monday in Atlanta I’ll reunite with some old friends in what should be an absolutely epic night that I’m really looking forward to. Keep checking the calendar to see when we’re coming to your town and make sure you say hi to us at the shows. One last thing. A brand new and very good friend of Fashion Bomb, Nickle Bag, had to leave the tour due to some personal reasons and go back home to be with his family. Nickle Bag, you are the man. I am better for having met you bro and I know our paths will cross in the future. Thanks for all the help you gave us on this tour bro. We’ll see you again soon. |

The road is paved with ringing ear drums, long nights, and amazing shows! Los Angeles, you never disappoint....old and new friends came out in force to pack the Key Club on the Sunset strip. The line outside before doors was the precursor to an off the hook show and amazing crowd. Every band on this tour is tearing up the stage. After a long drive, we then rolled into Santa Ana for a show at Last Day Saloon. Again, thanks to everyone who came out, picked up our cds, and heard us for the first time. Lots of California love, we will be back soon!! No rest for the wicked, however, as he trekked to Sin City, Las Vegas.... I know what happens there stays there, but the metal crowd that came out to Vamp's (Feelgoods) last night were in rare form, proving there is more than just dice and slots in Vegas. Metal is alive and well there, and the scene is great. Met some awesome new friends, and can't wait to go back to play/hang with then again! On to New Mexico...and more updates to come!! |

The shows are going great on the Restore the Insanity Tour 2011! We have left the -17 temperatures of Minnesota, and just played an amazing show in Denver! The Marquis Theater was a great host...special thanks to Chris, the lovely Rachel, and the whole staff for being so cool. An extra big shout out to all the Denver metal fans who came out to mosh from the first note to the last....we are looking forward to partying with you all again soon! Watch for an interview we did with Groovey TV very soon....more to come.....next stop LA! |

Well, week 1 is in the books and so far the Restore The Insanity tour has been sick! Ill Nino, Anew Revolution and Ekotren are all great bands and great dudes. I had a blast last night after the show at Station 4 partying it up with Drone 3 and Frank from Ekotren. Today’s our day off which basically means 12 hours of driving. No worries though. We all have internet, movies, smart phones, music. I don’t know how bands toured before technology made it so awesome.
Tomorrow is Ekotren’s cd release show in Denver. I’m telling you right now that this cd kicks all ass and you should definitely check these guys out. Hey, maybe they’re coming to a town near you. I hear they’re on a big tour. Thanks to everyone who has come out to the shows. Our receptions have all been fantastic. Lots of very vocal fans and brutal mosh pits. I can’t say when I’ve had this much fun. Make sure you definitely come say hi when we play in your town. I want to personally meet every single Fashion Bomb fan. You guys are the best. Up next we hit the west coast. I haven’t been to LA since I was 4 years old and I’ve been promised a good time by some very cool people so I’m definitely looking forward to it. The Vegas show is another one I’m very much looking forward to. Like Frank says on Always Sunny, “I wanna get real weird with it”. Well, I guess I’ll get back to sending out emails and talking to people on facebook. If you think you wanna say hi, definitely do. I’m gonna be online a lot during this tour and want to talk to all of you. DRONE I ON FACEBOOK |

A lot going on, so apologies for not writing the Fashion Files as frequently...! The kick off shows for the Ill Nino tour went great, and we are excited to show everyone on the tour some Chicago hospitality! We have been talking up our friends and the Chicago metal fans, so let's show them what we are all about at Reggie's tonight!! I have to say, all of the bands on this tour are awesome, both as people and as musicians....this is just the beginning of a very wild ride!! Thank you to Grand Rapids and Detroit....now Chi-town.....let's do this! |

Such a sick show last night at Double Door! Thanks to everyone who came out, braved the weather and rocked out with us on a Tuesday night. The place was packed and the energy was great. Val and Acid did an awesome mini acoustic set and we unveiled our newest and best toy yet: Drone 3! It was truly an epic night and I can’t wait to do it again.
As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, Fashion Bomb is going on tour with Ill Nino! I can’t wait to hit the road and come see all of the fans who have been asking for us around the US and make plenty of new friends along the way. This tour is going to be awesome so don’t miss us when we hit your town. You owe it to yourselves. I’ve been super busy lately with Fashion Bomb and plenty of teaching and session work. Make sure you friend request me on facebook to find out where and when I’ll be playing. Sorry we had to take ourselves off the bill with our good friends in Lockjaw. When they switched dates for the show we just couldn’t make our schedules work. I know the show is going to rock anyway and may be making a late night appearance to support LJ. Finally, if you like comedy and don’t mind reading subtitles, make sure you check out a Japanese anime called Detroit Metal City. It’s about a kid who goes to Tokyo to be a big pop star, but when he signs a record deal, the label forces him to sing lead in a black metal band. This show kicks ass and should be watched by everyone. See you all soon. Tour starts in January and dates are being added all the time. Check back here for details! |

Ah, an interesting Devil's Night to be sure. The show in Streator was cancelled last minute by the venue and promoter...of course we discovered this as we pulled up to the venue and saw it shuttered. After a few calls from our booking agent, he let us know the not so forthright promoter had actually left town. Things happen, such is the life of bands on the road. So, not to be deterred, we made a few calls and pulled up to a local establishment, set up our gear on their stage, and by word of mouth alone that we were playing a surprise free show, and the bar became packed with Devil's Night partiers.... Fashion Bomb played just over 2 hours, digging into their back catalogue, and getting a pit going right in front of the stage. A great time was had by all, and a big thanks to Tully's in Morris for hosting our impromptu show! Another big thanks to everyone who came out on very short notice, we had a blast rocking with you all! Everyone have an excellent Halloween, and there will be more news to come! |

Hey Fashion Bomb fans! Sorry it’s been next to forever since I’ve written a Fashion File. I’ve been super busy working. I finished the first draft of my drum book finally but it’s hand written and, as it turns out, my penmanship leaves a bit to be desired. So we’re being delayed trying to figure out which program to use to rewrite the music on computer. It’s a lot of hard work but I’m really happy with what I’ve written and can’t wait to get this book out to the public.
Speaking of teaching, I have some really great students right now. My kids are learning everything from The Ramones to Rush to Motley Crue. I really feel like I’m doing a service for the future of music. It’s so much fun to watch these kids get better every week. I can’t wait until everyone I teach is in a sick rock band instead of hanging around playing Rock Band. In addition to outside session work, things are super busy at Fashion Bomb headquarters, which is really great news for everyone. For us it means we’re writing and playing shows all the time. For you guys it means higher likelihood that we’ll be in your area soon. So far we’ve announced Streator, Steger and Springfield IL but I have reliable information that we’re working on coming to some new places very soon. If you’ve never experienced Fashion Bomb live, you just may get you chance. Personally I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re doing. If you want Fashion Bomb to come to your town and we haven’t or you want to help us out by joining our street team, shoot me an email at Drone1@fashionbomb.net and I’ll make sure it gets taken care of. Well it’s time for me to fight through that wonderful Chicago traffic and get back home to the city. I’m sure I’ll see or talk or email with al of you very soon. |

A shout out to Ric and Spyder in Cinncinati for coming out to rock with us...we will be back soon! And a big thanks to Kevin and the whole crew and the Machine Shop! As you can see from the picture above, the show was off the charts! Drone1 took the picture between songs from stage....Flint definitely knows how to rock! We are also gearing up for our show at Villains on the 25th. Be advised, it will fill up quick, so get there early, sport your Fashion Bomb gear, and let them know who you're there to see! We haven't done our songs unplugged before, so this will be new and different to say the least! More announcements coming soon! Stay tuned! |

A big week coming up! Fashion Bomb is hitting the road and will be playing in Cinncinati, OH and Flint, MI! We are excited to get back to Ohio, and since we have not played in Cinncinati before, we are really looking forward to seeing some old friends! Also, we will be heading to The Machine Shop in Flint to play with our friends in Dope once again, so this weekend promises to be full of good old fashioned metal goodness. In a different vein, we have also confirmed an event here in Chicago on August 25, at Villains on Clark St. This will be a rare unplugged performance with other Chicago pros....not necessarily in our genre, but all acoustic....it should be a really interesting and intimate show. If you have ever wondered how our metal songs would translate acoustically, here is your chance to hear! AND it's all ages and FREE!! How can you beat that!? We are planning some more forays into neighboring states in the coming weeks, as well as another Chicago show in the near future, so stay tuned to our tour section, make sure everyone you know signs up for our mailing list, facebook, twitter, myspace....whatever your poison! Spread the word and we will see you out and about!! |

Holy crap I have a lot going on. As Fashion Bomb’s schedule fills up, so does my personal schedule. First thing’s first. I’m sure you already know, but I’m so psyched to be hitting the road for a few days in August with our new friends in Bang Tango! Especially excited to rock out in Flint MI with Dope. OH and MI Fashion Bomb fans, you’ve been asking for us. We’ll see you soon. I can’t wait.
Right before all the Fashion Bomb craziness I’ll be rocking out with Dead Man’s Wake at Live 59 in Plainfield IL on August 7. This show promises to rock with Maiden/Priest tribute Judas Beast headlining. This is a one-off deal with myself and DMW so don’t miss the insanity that is sure to ensue! Outside of live shows, I’m still keeping myself very busy musically. My teaching schedule is quickly filling up. If you’re interested in drum lessons be sure to send me an email at Drone1@fashionbomb.net. I’m also writing an instructional drumming book which should be out in the next few months and I’m always working on new videos for my youtube page. Check out www.youtube.com/jlack04 if you want to hear some things I’ve come up with. I’ll leave you with a recommendation. If you like metal at all go search for a band called Revocation. They’re on Relapse records and are making just about my favorite music in a long time. Both of their albums are great. Pay special attention to the guitar work but pay SPECIAL attention to the drummer. That’s it for me. If I don’t see you August 7 in Plainefield I know I’ll be seeing you at an upcoming Fashion Bomb show! |

Ok let me start by saying Summerfest ROCKED! Thank you to everyone who came out, watched us, took a flyer from us, talked to us. Milwaukee was very hospitable to Fashion Bomb and in turn, we absolutely tore it up. I personally left everything I had on that stage. I got an advance copy of the dvd of the show from COOLTV and I highly recommend you go online and pick this up as soon as it becomes available.
Now it’s back to the studio to write more music and prepare for our next murderous rampage on America. We have very big things coming up in the future and can’t wait to officially announce them. If you only knew what I knew… Of course it’s classified. I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. I’d like to close by saying, BROCK LESNAR!!! My favorite fighter ever nearly put Shane Carwin to sleep last week. Great fight. I was worried the ref would stop the fight in the first round but he lasted the round and came back for an awesome win. What a great night of fights. Also, go see Zombieland right now. |

We have been getting calls, messages on Facebook and Myspace, and responses through the grapevine that Monday will be well represented by Fashion Bomb fans and friends and Summerfest! We will hit the main Miller Lite/CoolTV Rock Stage at 6:30pm directly before Shaman's Harvest and Saliva, and we are excited to pull out some surprises for everyone who makes the trip! We will have some awesome swag to give away, so be sure to be up front and get a good seat, as there will be "merch missles" heading into the audience... and also, we will be debuting a brand new song that didn't make it onto Visions of the Lifted Veil! The song is titled "Exsanguinate" and promises to be an instant favorite! So, come be a part of this awesome day at Summerfest with us, enjoy some amazing bands, and eat some great food! It was once again a great night at Reggie's, and a huge thanks to everyone who came out mid week to join us! The lineup was really great, and a good time was had by all. Dies Mali kicked off the show, followed by our friends in Lollypop Tragedy. A few Factory Girls joined LT on stage, which made for a great clothing optional set! Next up was Rikets, and they kicked some serious ass. Blue Felix from Minnesota was also great, and Mary Magdalan put on an exciting show. I have to say that everyone in the crowd was awesome, starting a circle pit during Over It, and continuing through Technological Singularity! I also think about half of the audience was singing along to Looks That Kill...too cool! Trace even caught me in a moment of insanity as we both waded into the crowd at the close of The World Will End With Us. Cans of PBR seemed to dominate the afterparty, but it was a perfect way to wind down and hang with all the bands who played and wind down. On the heels of such a great night, now we turn to the 28th and Summerfest! We will be debuting a brand new song during the set, so this will be a very special performance! We will reveal the title shortly, so keep checking back....and there will be more details to come in the next week! And on a personal note.....Lakers win! Another win next year for the 3-peat! More to come! |

Hey what’s up guys? Here’s a quick introduction since this is my first Fashion File. I learned to play drums when I was a little kid. I’ve played in a ton of bands and just about every style of music and I’ve been teaching drums for about 4 years. I joined Fashion Bomb in February 2008 and it’s been a blast. I love playing shows with these guys! The best part is looking out at the audience and seeing all of you, pumping your fists to the bass drum. Fashion Bomb fans rock. I love the people I’ve met and can’t wait to meet all of you.
We’ve been super busy getting ready for our upcoming shows and writing some new music. June 16th can’t come fast enough. Make sure you get your tickets for our Reggie’s show in advance so you can come early and be part of the meet and greet. Rub elbows with Mary Magdalan, Fashion Bomb and, of course, the beautiful Suicide Girls. This show is not to be missed. Speaking of things not to be missed, I’ll be at AAW Wrestling this Friday in Berwyn, IL. These guys have been really supportive of us for a couple of years now so lets return some of the love.
