Our foray into Ohio and Michigan was truly awesome, we met a bunch of new friends and fans, saw some old ones, and had a great time! A shout out to Ric and Spyder in Cinncinati for coming out to rock with us...we will be back soon! And a big thanks to Kevin and the whole crew and the Machine Shop! As you can see from the picture above, the show was off the charts! Drone1 took the picture between songs from stage....Flint definitely knows how to rock! We are also gearing up for our show at Villains on the 25th. Be advised, it will fill up quick, so get there early, sport your Fashion Bomb gear, and let them know who you're there to see! We haven't done our songs unplugged before, so this will be new and different to say the least! More announcements coming soon! Stay tuned!

A big week coming up! Fashion Bomb is hitting the road and will be playing in Cinncinati, OH and Flint, MI! We are excited to get back to Ohio, and since we have not played in Cinncinati before, we are really looking forward to seeing some old friends! Also, we will be heading to The Machine Shop in Flint to play with our friends in Dope once again, so this weekend promises to be full of good old fashioned metal goodness. In a different vein, we have also confirmed an event here in Chicago on August 25, at Villains on Clark St. This will be a rare unplugged performance with other Chicago pros....not necessarily in our genre, but all acoustic....it should be a really interesting and intimate show. If you have ever wondered how our metal songs would translate acoustically, here is your chance to hear! AND it's all ages and FREE!! How can you beat that!? We are planning some more forays into neighboring states in the coming weeks, as well as another Chicago show in the near future, so stay tuned to our tour section, make sure everyone you know signs up for our mailing list, facebook, twitter, myspace....whatever your poison! Spread the word and we will see you out and about!!

Holy crap I have a lot going on. As Fashion Bomb’s schedule fills up, so does my personal schedule. First thing’s first. I’m sure you already know, but I’m so psyched to be hitting the road for a few days in August with our new friends in Bang Tango! Especially excited to rock out in Flint MI with Dope. OH and MI Fashion Bomb fans, you’ve been asking for us. We’ll see you soon. I can’t wait.

Right before all the Fashion Bomb craziness I’ll be rocking out with Dead Man’s Wake at Live 59 in Plainfield IL on August 7. This show promises to rock with Maiden/Priest tribute Judas Beast headlining. This is a one-off deal with myself and DMW so don’t miss the insanity that is sure to ensue!

Outside of live shows, I’m still keeping myself very busy musically. My teaching schedule is quickly filling up. If you’re interested in drum lessons be sure to send me an email at Drone1@fashionbomb.net. I’m also writing an instructional drumming book which should be out in the next few months and I’m always working on new videos for my youtube page. Check out www.youtube.com/jlack04 if you want to hear some things I’ve come up with.

I’ll leave you with a recommendation. If you like metal at all go search for a band called Revocation. They’re on Relapse records and are making just about my favorite music in a long time. Both of their albums are great. Pay special attention to the guitar work but pay SPECIAL attention to the drummer.

That’s it for me. If I don’t see you August 7 in Plainefield I know I’ll be seeing you at an upcoming Fashion Bomb show!

Ok let me start by saying Summerfest ROCKED! Thank you to everyone who came out, watched us, took a flyer from us, talked to us. Milwaukee was very hospitable to Fashion Bomb and in turn, we absolutely tore it up. I personally left everything I had on that stage. I got an advance copy of the dvd of the show from COOLTV and I highly recommend you go online and pick this up as soon as it becomes available.

Now it’s back to the studio to write more music and prepare for our next murderous rampage on America. We have very big things coming up in the future and can’t wait to officially announce them. If you only knew what I knew… Of course it’s classified. I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.

I’d like to close by saying, BROCK LESNAR!!! My favorite fighter ever nearly put Shane Carwin to sleep last week. Great fight. I was worried the ref would stop the fight in the first round but he lasted the round and came back for an awesome win. What a great night of fights.

Also, go see Zombieland right now.

06.25.10 12:58 PM CST
We have been getting calls, messages on Facebook and Myspace, and responses through the grapevine that Monday will be well represented by Fashion Bomb fans and friends and Summerfest! We will hit the main Miller Lite/CoolTV Rock Stage at 6:30pm directly before Shaman's Harvest and Saliva, and we are excited to pull out some surprises for everyone who makes the trip! We will have some awesome swag to give away, so be sure to be up front and get a good seat, as there will be "merch missles" heading into the audience... and also, we will be debuting a brand new song that didn't make it onto Visions of the Lifted Veil! The song is titled "Exsanguinate" and promises to be an instant favorite! So, come be a part of this awesome day at Summerfest with us, enjoy some amazing bands, and eat some great food! More to come!!

06.18.10 1:28 AM CST
It was once again a great night at Reggie's, and a huge thanks to everyone who came out mid week to join us! The lineup was really great, and a good time was had by all. Dies Mali kicked off the show, followed by our friends in Lollypop Tragedy. A few Factory Girls joined LT on stage, which made for a great clothing optional set! Next up was Rikets, and they kicked some serious ass. Blue Felix from Minnesota was also great, and Mary Magdalan put on an exciting show. I have to say that everyone in the crowd was awesome, starting a circle pit during Over It, and continuing through Technological Singularity! I also think about half of the audience was singing along to Looks That Kill...too cool! Trace even caught me in a moment of insanity as we both waded into the crowd at the close of The World Will End With Us. Cans of PBR seemed to dominate the afterparty, but it was a perfect way to wind down and hang with all the bands who played and wind down. On the heels of such a great night, now we turn to the 28th and Summerfest! We will be debuting a brand new song during the set, so this will be a very special performance! We will reveal the title shortly, so keep checking back....and there will be more details to come in the next week! And on a personal note.....Lakers win! Another win next year for the 3-peat! More to come!

Hey what’s up guys? Here’s a quick introduction since this is my first Fashion File. I learned to play drums when I was a little kid. I’ve played in a ton of bands and just about every style of music and I’ve been teaching drums for about 4 years. I joined Fashion Bomb in February 2008 and it’s been a blast. I love playing shows with these guys! The best part is looking out at the audience and seeing all of you, pumping your fists to the bass drum. Fashion Bomb fans rock. I love the people I’ve met and can’t wait to meet all of you.

We’ve been super busy getting ready for our upcoming shows and writing some new music. June 16th can’t come fast enough. Make sure you get your tickets for our Reggie’s show in advance so you can come early and be part of the meet and greet. Rub elbows with Mary Magdalan, Fashion Bomb and, of course, the beautiful Suicide Girls. This show is not to be missed.

Speaking of things not to be missed, I’ll be at AAW Wrestling this Friday in Berwyn, IL. These guys have been really supportive of us for a couple of years now so lets return some of the love. Only $10 at the door and $1 beers. How can you beat that on a Friday night? I’ll have flyers and maybe a few copies of Visions of the Lifted Veil with me so come say hey. aawrestling.com

That’s it for now. My alarm’s ringing so I have to go guide a little rocker on her path to becoming a great drummer. Thanks for reading. We’ll see you at Reggie’s on the 16th!

05.31.10 12:59 PM CST
Being busy is great, but it definitely makes my Fashion Files fewer and farther between. The good news is that we have been hard at work on many fronts, including some new music which we just might debut at a show in the very near future.... a word about our next scheduled show, Metal Sanaz has had to drop from the Mary Magdalan show at Reggie's. We just got word about this, but to take over her hosting duties, will be the Suicide Girls! Pandie Suicide and bunch of the SG girls will be out to host the party, so this show gets better by the minute. The meet and greet will still be taking place, so now, if you have any of that Mary Magdalan, Fashion Bomb, or SG gear you need signed....get those advance tickets! Fashion Bomb will also have some pretty huge tour news in the very near future, so keep checking back for the updates...and as always, please take a minute to sign up for our mailing list, tell your friends and enemies to do so as well....facebook, twitter, myspace....whatever your poison, find us there and spread the word! More to come!!

05.03.10 1:07 PM CST
Lots of great things still confirming! But we are excited to be playing Summerfest this year as direct support for Saliva on Monday June 28! If you haven't been to Summerfest, it is the largest music festival in the country, with ten days of awesome shows, including (this year) Chevelle, Scorpions, Eric Clapton, and Rush to name the tip of the iceberg. And you can stuff yourself with some amazing food and beverages all day long on the festival grounds, right on lake Michigan. Nothing says rock and roll like Summerfest, Fashion Bomb, Saliva, and a basket of fried cheese curds and steak on a stick! We are also hyped about offering an exclusive meet and greet for our June 16th show with Mary Magdalan and Metal Sanaz at Reggie's Rock Club. We tore up Reggie's with Deadstar Assembly and will return to the scene of the crime in June....but everyone who buys a presale ticket will get admission to the meet and greet! Need that cd signed? Bring it. In a band and want to give Sanaz a demo hoping she will interview you? Bring it. This is going to be a major show for the summer...be sure to get your tickets now! Don't forget to spread the word to everyone you know about all Fashion Bomb's news, and suggest us to your friends on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter!! More to come!!

04.10.10 1:25 PM CST
Our thoughts go out to the Polish president and his aides and dignitaries, tragically killed in a plane crash today. 97 souls lost, many leaders in the Polish government, and relatives of those massacred at Katyn. Truly a horrible event.

04.10.10 1:25 PM CST
Fashion Bomb is hitting the road for a few shows with our friends in Deadstar Assembly! Catch our Reggie's show here in Chicago on April 22, and then we will be in Janesville, WI on April 24 and then St. Paul, MN on April 25! We are excited to see our Wisconsin friends again and make some new ones in Minnesota! Along with working on more shows in the future, I wanted to say how excited we are to be working with Paiste Cymbals!! We have been long time fans of these cymbals and having a relationship with such an industry leader is an honor! Drone1 will be bringing the proverbial noise with some new gear at upcoming shows, so watch for his new "bling". We have also been working on some new material...yes, we never sleep...we may have some surprises up our sleeve for upcoming dates! Thanks as well to everyone who has been spreading the word about Fashion Bomb! The more the word gets out, the more we can travel to a city near you to play!! Please visit our links and suggest us to your friends on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and anywhere else you think of! We appreciate all of support as always!

03.09.10 12:59 PM CST
This past weekend we travelled down to Crest Hill, IL to play a CD release show for our friends in Habit of Force, and it was a great time! A great band from St. Louis, MO called Deadsky opened the night, and the place was packed. We were also treated to ADD, who were good as always, and Big Truck and the boys in Habit of Force also tore it up. A huge thanks to all of our fans and friends who made the road trip, and thanks to all of our new friends seeing us for the first time that night! It was awesome to talk to everyone after the show! Be sure to stay tuned, as we have more show dates confirming here at Fashion Bomb HQ....including an event for a very good cause in June, more to come on that one!

02.19.10 1:10 PM CST
Well, we are confirming dates fast and furious here at Fashion Bomb HQ. Our good friends in Deadstar Assembly are leaving the warmth of Florida to come play an all ages show at Reggie's Rock Club, and we will be be rocking the house with them that night! April 22 is the night, and it is only $10, so this will be an awesome show! This is a little further out, but we will also be playing with Mary Magdalan, a great band from California, in June at Reggie's, and Metal Sanaz will be along for the evening as well, so start thinking ahead to June for that one! In the meantime, we are really looking forward to tearing up Crest Hill with Habit of Force, ADD and Deadsky on March 6th... !! There are a ton of things in the works, including an announcement for all you video game fans out there...so stay tuned! We appreciate all of your continued support, and love to read all of the messages sent to our myspace, facebook, etc. Thank you for telling a friend, thank you for coming to see a show, thank you for keeping up with Fashion Bomb!! I will just leave everyone with a quote I got from a friend...I think it is so appropriate for the music business today, and applies to the industry, jealous haters, and everyone with a closed mind... "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mohandas Gandhi. The ones that make us win are all of you awesome Fashion Bomb fans!! More to come!!

02.09.10 1:16 PM CST
A big thank you to everyone who came out to the Logan Square show this past weekend! It was our first all ages show in a long while, and it was nice to see everyone again!! Lollypop Tragedy were great, the Comasoft boys were awesome as always, and Skinwalker brought the noise! We debuted our big "exploding moon" backdrop....it seemed to make an impression....and we played The Stalker for the first time live! We all had a great time....many thanks as well to Marcus and Saul at Logan Square, Jaime at Q101 for braving the cold to come out, and all our friends and crew! You may have noticed the video cameras going non-stop....well stay tuned, as we have some cool things in the works for all the footage we have been collecting! Keep checking back, and also, head over to our myspace page! We have a cool new update device that will send you a text with show updates in your area! Ah, the era of technology never ceases to amaze us. More to come!!!

01.19.10 2:44 PM CST
Hello all.... Nothing caps off a MLK holiday like going to see Wednesday 13 at Reggies...lol. A good time was had by all, and saw lots of familiar faces! Wednesday 13 rocked with his new project Gunfire 76, and the opener Sex Slaves were not only cool guys, but very good as well. Eric, who also did monitors for us at Double Door for our CD release show was at the main board for the evening and made the bands sound great. The word was officially spread about the February 6th show,.. Lollipop Tragedy was also there promoting hard, so this will be a great show all around. We should also have a little announcement later on this week about the show, so stay tuned....good things to come!!

01.12.10 1:12 PM CST
In my quest to make sure that everyone who has a pulse has an invitation to our February 6th show, I headed out to Double Door on Sunday to catch a great band, Earshot and spread the word. The evening was great, met some cool people who travelled all the way from places like Seattle and Wisconsin to enjoy the show, and heard some good music. Thanks to the Double Door again for their awesome hospitality as always...we will see you out and about again soon!

01.03.10 2:29 PM CST
Hello all...I hope everyone had a safe New Year, and a good holiday! We have not been just swilling egg nog and stimulating the economy here in the Fashion Bomb camp...no we have been busy setting up our newest show! Fashion Bomb returns to Logan Square Auditorium on February 6th, with our friends in Skinwalker and Lollypop Tragedy. This should be a very fun show and it is ALL AGES!! We wanted to include everyone in our CD release, but alas, we are sometimes unable to get venues, booking agents and schedules to agree, but this time it all clicked! Be sure to spread the word!!! Acid and I have also been out and about town. We were able to take in the 30 Seconds to Mars show our friends at Q101 did at House of Blues....Acid and I were backstage and got to see a bunch of friends and meet a few new ones. I also just last night made it out to the LaSalle Power Company, to check out High Gloss Black and The Last Vegas. A good time was had by all, and the show was great. I hadn't checked out that venue before, and apparently it used to be the old Michael Jordan's Restaurant. Cool decor though, and the stage connected to the bar, so if any band member felt the urge to walk down and kick over a few drinks, you had the option. But, please keep spreading the word and getting friends to add themselves to our free mailing list, and add us on twitter, myspace, facebook....you name it, we are there....we have more announcements coming shortly! More to come!!

12.10.09 02:58 AM CST
I have to say, that our CD release show at Double Door on Friday was a smashing success. The turnout was excellent, the presale numbers exceeded our rather ambitious goals, and we sold an enormous amount of CDs. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported, and to everyone who helped get the word out about the show.

Some memorable moments: not being able to turn around without seeing another videocamera pointed at me (seven in total that night, not counting fans' cameras), watching people swaying to and singing along with Judith (my new favorite thing to cover), everybody yelling at Big Truck constantly all night. The obligatory "One more song" chant before the encore.

Another fun thing: hearing the "Drone 1" chant after the rather drum-intensive "Technological Singularity." Pretty cool.

Thanks to Edith Blade, Lockjaw, and Habit of Force for tearing it up with us, and all at Double Door for making it possible. Thanks to Asrock for braving a blizzard, Tommy Quon for flying out, Staci for all her work, Migo & co. for an excellent new shirt design, loads of promo work, and a small army of cameras, Leece for kicking ass at the merch booth, Matt and Angel and Weaver for shooting, Dano for making sure it looked awesome, and Artur for making sure it sounded crushing.

Keep an eye on the site; everything is suddenly happening very quickly for us, and we will keep you posted on all of it. I have to say: right now is by far the best it has ever been to be a member of Fashion Bomb, and I'm very happy I had the foresight to get involved all those years ago.

12.02.09 11:51 PM CST
It has been a little while since I updated the Fashion File section, but it has not been due to lack of activity... we have been finishing up plans for our big show this Friday at Double Door! Thank you to everyone who has gotten their tickets ahead of time, and we can't wait to give you your free CDs at the show!! This is going to be a great night of music, friends, and debauchery! Acid and I were out the other night at the sold out Nitzer Ebb show to spread the word, and it was an awesome show. We got to chat with a bunch of new faces and say hello to a few familiar ones, and in general enjoy the show! We will be unveiling a new t-shirt design for the first time at this show, unavailable anywhere else right now...and will have some musical surprises as well! I know our friends in Edith Blade, Lockjaw and Habit of Force are putting the word out as well, and plan on melting faces, and challenging the hearing tolerances of all who attend....so be ready! If you haven't yet gotten your pre-sale tickets, your window of opportunity is closing fast! Get online at www.ticketfly.com, or if you can't order ahead, just come out to the show and rock...simple as that! More to come!!

11.15.09 11:43 PM CST
Last night we had a great time in Kalamzoo, Michigan! The show was awesome, and Papa Pete's proved to be an excellent host! We will definitely be back soon! We enjoyed the set from Eighth Chakra, and Edith Blade was also impressive as usual! This was a great preview for our show on December 4th.... we can't wait to unleash this set on Double Door! Extra thanks to everyone who picked up the new album at the show, and for spreading the word about Fashion Bomb!! More to come!!

11.11.09 6:15 PM CST
Yesterday was the big day, the culmination of over a year of work, and we are excited to have "Visions of the Lifted Veil" out in stores! Thanks to everyone letting us know that you are out picking up your copy, or downloading it from itunes! We are very proud of this album, and are equally excited to play it for you live!! We are hearing that some of the Best Buy locations are selling out of the CD already, so if that happens, please tell them to order it, so they will get more in. If you don't want to wait, we hear that Rolling Stone Records and Barnes and Noble both have the CD in stock and at listening stations, so that is a great option as well! The tickets for the Double Door show are going fast as well, so we encourage all those taking advantage of the pre-order/CD deal to get them very soon! Ticketfly.com is the place to go to get these before they sell out! Thanks so much to everyone who is supporting us and the new album... you are all awesome!! More news to come!!

11.06.09 9:12 PM CST
November has arrived sooner than expected, but we are all too excited to get through this weekend and get to Tuesday. Besides the fact that our label is offering free shipping this weekend on pre-orders for Visions of the Lifted Veil, a new song will be previewed this weekend! We are making The Vow available on myspace and our website to coincide with our interview on Q101 Sunday night. Acid, Trace and I will join Chris Payne on Sunday at 9pm to talk about the new record, and our upcoming CD release show at Double Door. I am also excited to announce a new show added to our upcoming schedule. We will be returning to Milwaukee to play a special show at Club Anything with our friends in Lockjaw on December 11th! There is a ton more coming up, so stay tuned for more updates! By the way...pass it along to everyone you know...buy your tickets to the Double Door early...there just may be a secret contest running with some awesome prizes for those who buy early!!

10.23.09 5:25 PM CST
Braving the rain and wind, Acid and I made our way into the city last night. Arkaea was in town, along with Soil, Kittie and Straight Line Stitch, and we hadn't seen Raymond since we were in L.A. The show was a good one, and everyone on the bill was worth seeing, but I have to give it to Arkaea, not just because I am biased. They slammed extra hard that night! We saw a lot of friends at the show, and got a chance to catch up with our man Jason, fresh off of shooting vids for Lazerus AD and Autumn Offering, and also chatted with Stephen, who did a great job on Soil's new album art. Soil was also great that night...I talked to Tim after their set and they are finishing this leg and then heading to Europe with Shinedown... those will be awesome shows. We will be out at more shows in the coming weeks... and we will have some major announcements in the next week...so stay tuned here...things just keep getting better and bigger!!!!

10.15.09 6:59 PM CST
Hello all....we have thawed out from last weekend, and are looking forward to this one! There are many shows we will be out and about at promoting our upcoming CD release show at Double Door! Stay tuned here or to Twitter and we will update you on where we will be! I also had to take a moment to comment on something I have noticed... Have you ever noticed that when things are going very well for you, all those nay sayers and negative people start enhancing their shit talking and rhetoric? I have to chuckle when I hear through the grapevine about all the effort to get in a jab, or rant online. But in reality, what is clearly lost on these people, is that if they spent a quarter of the time they spend being negative on being better musicians, better people, or less full of drama, they might actually be somewhere productive. But anyway... while all that goes on... we have a new album to celebrate. Be sure to get your tickets for the CD release show ahead of time and you will get a copy of the new CD free at the show! More news to come!!

10.11.09 8:13 PM CST
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Belmont Music Fest yesterday!! The Chicago weather did what it was supposed to, and put a chill in everyone's day, but it was a blast. As usual, we saw some old friends (Christ Puncher crew!), and made some great new ones. We arrived through an insane amount of traffic and the Special Events crew was on top of getting our touring gear through and settled...Acid, Trace and I hurried over to the Children's Starlight Foundation area, and played a couple of our songs acoustic for a great bunch of kids. It was awesome to meet them and be able to perform a few tunes stripped down. The cold was a challenge, and I think Acid's fingers actually turned purple in the wind, but he and Trace didn't miss a note. We then checked out some of the talented Next American Star bands competing in the finals. Our friends in Treaty of Paris did a great set as well. We were hanging backstage with Steve Tingle from Q101, and he advised that he was in the mood for some heavy music.....we obliged. After he introduced us, we quickly thawed out and rocked out our set. We loved watching all the head banging in the crowd, and the fists pumping in the air. Belmont and Clark has been home territory for me, so it was outstanding to play there. Vanilla Ice performed and blew everyone away....the crowd was jumping up and down, and completely into the music. It was a very good time, indeed! A big shout out to Edith Blade, Lollipop Tragedy and the other bands and brothers who came out to support! Also a big thank you to Lisa, Staci, and the Next American Star for hosting and organizing the event! We will have some exciting news for you in the coming weeks. More exciting than our December 4th show at Double Door, you ask? JUST as exciting..... stay tuned for more!!

10.02.09 10:25 PM CST
I hope everyone likes the new site and myspace we launched late yesterday! With this new look, you are getting a preview of the new CD, and we are very excited to also give you a preview of "The Meek". The whole CD is now in our possession and I must say, in a very biased way....it rocks! You will definitely want to add this album to your collection, and there are a couple of ways to do so. First, on November 10th run (don't walk) to Best Buy, Borders, Virgin Megastore, or wherever CDs are sold, and buy it. Second, log on to your trusty computer and go to itunes and download it. Third, get the bargain of a lifetime by going to www.ticketfly.com right now to buy a ticket to our CD release show at Double Door and get a copy of the album free at the show! We are excited to give back to everyone who supports us day in and day out in our home town by offering this premium. The tickets are only $10, so you are getting a deal. There are more announcements to come...so stay tuned and spread the word!!

09.26.09 03:42AM CST
Hello all.... new shows are being announced all the time it seems! A couple special shows coming up I wanted to mention... October 10th, Saturday is the Belmont Music Festival, and Fashion Bomb will be co-headlining with Vanilla Ice and Treaty of Paris. This is the first time in 20 years or so they will close down Belmont between Clark and Sheffield. This is a great festival and it is for a great cause, and also our friends at the Starlight Children's Foundation! Come out and see a great show and an all day event!! I am also excited to tell you about our CD release show at the world famous Double Door! December 4th, Friday, we will take over Double Door and play a ton of material from our new album, and give you a taste of things to come from Fashion Bomb! As a special thank you, to everyone who gets their tickets in advance, you will get a copy of our new album for free at the show. That's right...order ahead of time so we know you are coming and we will give you our new full length release for free!! Advance tickets are only $10, so this is a great deal. We will have some awesome support that night from our friends in Edith Blade and Lockjaw that night as well! Pass the word, and we hope to see you there.....more to come!!

09.16.09 11:24PM CST
The journey was long, but the show was worth it. I made the trip up to see Marilyn Manson at the Rave last night, and also our good friends in Lockjaw opening the show. Lockjaw rocked as usual...it had been a while since seeing them, and they never lose a step. Manson played a great set, and the crowd was definitely on board! We will have some show announcements coming in mere hours...so stay tuned!!

09.12.09 11:36PM CST
I think that my phone is becoming a permanent part of my ear lately...but I did manage to pry it away long enough to head over to the Congress Theater last night to take in Mars Volta. Special thanks to Michael of Edith Blade, and we had some great conversation that I think will lead to a great event here in Chi-town in the very near future! Stay tuned for more!

09.07.09 4:01PM CST
Busy times! I am just getting to the Fashion File now, and it was Thursday that Acid and I went from rehearsal to the Beat Kitchen to check out our friends in Janus and Villain vs. Villain play. Despite it's size, Beat Kitchen has some good sound and that night the bands sounded great. The crowd was definitely enthusiastic, and everyone had a good time. For the second time in a week, I got to see Dave from Heavy Hitters out and about...I think he is out more than I am! I hope all of you are starting to see the promo cards out there on the streets announcing the November 10 release date for Visions of the Lifted Veil! If you haven't, keep an eye out....they will be coming your way! I am also excited to be getting back to Michigan shortly after the release. We will be bringing some Chicago-style metal to Kalamazoo at Papa Pete's. With the demise of Club Soda, this club is the heir apparent to good music there, so to all our Michigan friends....get ready!! We will have copies of the new CD for you! Our friends in Edith Blade will be making the journey with us, so this will be a night to remember! More to come!!

09.02.09 4:41PM CST
Hello again.... a big show announcement will be happening by the end of the week! Keep checking back, as this will be something to look forward to soon!! Even with all the plans here, I managed to get away to attend the CD release party at Delilah's for our boys in Dirge Within last night. Their new CD is crushing, and is a must have! It was good to see old friends and hang with the guys before they leave on tour with Trivium later this month. They even premiered their new video for us....very cool stuff. A song never sounds quite as good as when thousands of people who adore it are belting it out. Val, myself, and a small army went and saw NIN at the Aragon Saturday. Amazing. They played almost everything I wanted to hear, even "Burn." The line was enormous when we showed up, and I didn't mind skipping it one bit. The band sounded great, the crowd screamed practically every word. Even one of the sound guys was shirtless and headbanging as he tweaked the faders. Didn't seem to hinder him at all, as the mix was spot-on and he still stayed on top of his cue sheet.

Visions of the Lifted Veil hits stores November 10. Mark your calendar. This record kills everything we've done before it. In the meantime, we are hard at work on some cool little surprises for the near future. We'll keep you posted...

Hello again to all... The plans for world domination are going very well. All of our drones are working hard printing up fliers, and soon they will be unleashed like rain on the nation. But enough of that for now, just be assured that you will see some new imagery out very soon! I also wanted to announce that our label has given us our new release date. November 10, 2009 will be the day, and finally Visions of the Lifted Veil will be available worldwide! Mark this date on your calendar and please pick up a copy. The artwork is going to blow you away, so you will want a physical copy! A big announcement will be happening in the next couple of days regarding our cd release show...so stay tuned for that! Apart from all the work and plans for the new disc and tour, Acid and I managed to make it to the NIN show last night at Aragon Ballroom. I guess membership in the musician club has it's privileges, and not having to wait in line was a definite plus! Mew was the opening band, and they had some very cool aspects to their music. It was pretty chill, though, and I was definitely ready for NIN when they took the stage. I have seen them plenty of times, but this was the first time I heard Heresy live. The set was long and awesome, and I especially liked the guest appearance of Peter Murphy (Bauhaus). I saw many friends in the audience, and a lot of "out-of-towners", but the crowd was pretty cool. I will be out and about at more shows in the near future....September is going to be a busy month for shows... so I will update this as often as possible...come say hello, and grab a flier for the new Fashion Bomb cd and take one for a friend...More to come!!!

Hello everyone! Slowly but surely, we are creeping back out to see some shows... I was able to catch a show with our friends in Thorn Fetish at Double Door on Tuesday. They did a great job, and a great time was had by all! I also went to the Rockhouse on Lincoln last night to catch Edith Blade rock out. The place reminds me a lot of Exit, and to make the evening more interesting...a pub crawl came through. A bunch of drunk people in orange t-shirts, being as one would expect from a mob whose sole purpose for the evening was imbibing and acting out. But hey, it made the night a little more colorful. I think I noticed some art on the wall from the old Fuel bar, which used to be near Metro for those who remember. Okay, so enough about evenings out... on to the important stuff. We are firming up the date for our cd release party, and the announcement is mere days away. There will be some surprises there, and we are talking with some awesome bands to fill up the evening...if all goes to plan, this will be a MUST SEE. Thanks for sticking with us while we get all the pieces into place for this new record. We promise it will be worth the wait!! More to come!!

Hello all... while the album is being finished we have escaped the studio to take in some notable events! First, I stopped by the Hard Rock Cafe to help re-launch the new JBTV! I chatted with Jerry Bryant, the host and mastermind of JBTV for a while and am excited about the new studio and what the shows will hold in the future! Can we say Fashion Bomb again gracing the JBTV stage? Stay tuned on that one! The very next night saw Acid and I attending the Next American Star at House of Blues. We are always in favor of supporting up and coming artists, and the Next American Star is definitely a great organization. We got to say hello to Sinister and Chi Chi, as they are now known, from VH1's Daisy of Love, Johnny K (producer extraordinaire), were excited to meet and talk with Mike Klink (legendary Guns-n-Roses producer), and hung with a host of other awesome new friends. Our friends at Next American Star had to head to Dallas, so the evening was shorter than we would have liked, but I know the show there will be great, as our friends in Free Reign will be headlining! Lots and lots of stuff is in the works at Fashion Bomb central... so be ready for some big announcements in the next couple of weeks! Until then....

I'm sorry I haven't been updating you all as frequently as I once did on our trusty Fashion File, but we have been running around like crazy finishing up the details and elements for Visions of the Lifted Veil! We have had some new interviews linked in our news section to tide you over, but soon, you will have a ton more Fashion Bomb material to check out! We are still on for our July 21st release date, and there will be some surprises coming up to go along with!
