Fashion Bomb

My how time flies...It was just a month ago that we played Fangoria, and we are in the home stretch for the new CD. Every day brings us another success in the studio and we are really getting excited to share this new work of art with you all! To that end, we have decided to release the title of the album a little early to whet your appetite for what is to come. It is inevitable. The beautiful thing about anyone we encounter at one of our shows, or out and about in our music community is that we are all creative. We share a common outlook and purpose....we celebrate what is unique and appreciate beauty in varied forms. I can find a thousand cookie cutter videos and songs on MTV right now.... but truly, our new album will evolve our sound, and embrace what has always been a part of us as a band and as people. All of this pre-story will culminate in a climax on July 21st. Yes, you heard it here first... July 21st, the new album will be released and on store shelves! Fashion Bomb's new full length album "Visions of the Lifted Veil" will include all the things you have come to expect, and a few surprises.... more information on that soon... keep checking back here, or better yet... sign up for the mailing list to hear the very latest about "Visions of the Lifted Veil" and upcoming Fashion Bomb shows. We can't wait to reveal what all the work is going into.... the date is fast approaching... July 21, 2009... "Visions of the Lifted Veil".

This weekend show was definitely a blast...Fangoria always puts on a great show, and this year was no exception. It is always cool to get to hang out with everyone in the convention atmosphere, and to play to such a great crowd. The ballroom was packed full....thanks, by the way, to everyone who had to wait in the long lines to get in. The doors were a little late with some technical difficulties of fitting the huge speaker system into a ballroom, even the size of that one! The Mushroomhead guys were extrmemely cool as always, and special thanks to Skinny who even offered to let Drone1 use his kit to save some stage room....very very nice of him. We look forward to doing another show with them soon, so stay tuned.... For those in attendance who heard a couple of the newest, unheard before songs...that is just a sample of what the new album will bring. The titles were announced there at the show, but for those unable to attend..."The Vow" and "The Veil of Meggido" were the two brand new songs we played. We will be out and about in the near future, so check back for more show dates! More to come!

A double header of rock is always a good idea, so I headed to the always exciting Pearl Room yesterday for Wednesday 13, then Mudvayne in the evening. Thanks to everyone who came up to say hello and chat, and I got to hang with friends I hadn't seen in a long time and meet some great new friends as well. It was possibly the most crowded I have seen the Pearl Room, but it was a great set of shows. I was, as usual spreading the word about our Fangoria show on the 6th of March, and I have to say that I am really excited to play some of the new songs from the upcoming album for everyone! I am going to be continuing my promotion drive while taking in great music...Anyone going to see Black Stone Cherry and ADD at Durty Nellies on Tuesday, find me for a reminder flier and say hello! So, until the next evening of music.... stay tuned!

Ah, my beloved Chicago...At least the snow and cold makes us stay in our studio and work! After our awesome trip to Los Angeles, we are in the mix portion of making the new record, and we are really excited about how everything is going! We cannot wait to share these new tunes with all of you, and speaking of that...our friends at Fangoria magazine are once again coming to town for their Weekend of Horrors convention at the Wyndham Hotel in Rosemont, and Fashion Bomb will be playing the Rock and Shock concert with Mushroomhead! This will be Friday, March 6th, 2009, and we will be playing some of the newest, latest material from the new album, along with some of the favorites from Devils to Some, Angels to Others! We played the Fangoria convention a couple years ago and it was a blast, so we are looking forward to topping that in March!! Also, for those of you Revolver readers, send us an email and let us know if you are seeing our ads that have been in the past few issues! Full Effect Records artists are getting the word out and we would love to know if you are seeing it!! Stay tuned for more news, and spread the word!! More to come!

Acid, Trace and I landed in Los Angeles, glad to be out in the 55 degree weather upon hearing about all the snow back in Chicago! The weather should clear up tomorrow and be back up to the high sixties/low seventies, so that should be a nice change! We are busy in pre-production for the new record and are excited to begin tracking the new tunes in studio! We did manage to get down to the Virgin Megastore on Hollywood Blvd., and low and behold....we found our album on the shelves right where it should be! We will be updating you all on our progress as we go, and watch out for exclusive video from the studio....sign up for our free mailing list to catch some behind the scenes footage to be included with upcoming messages!! More to come!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...we here at Fashion Bomb Central Command managed to work through the holiday, but cest la vie. Thanks to everyone who sent us pictures of our CD in various stores, mainly Best Buy! It is a comfort to know that you can buy a large dose of blasphemous metal for your family and friends to celebrate Christmas. Can you smell the irony? The holidays signal the end of the year, and I must say, that this year in Fashion Bomb's history, I think, is the big year of maturing and evolution. 2008 has seen a restructure of the band, a new look, and an evolution of sound. We replaced some bad energy with a new creative spirit, We partnered with a great new record label, and are doing a brand new album. 2009 for Fashion Bomb is going to be our breakout year, and we are focused and having a blast, working with the kind of quality people that will push us and teach us, and make us all better musicians. We are excited to have all of you with us on this great ride! Don't get me wrong, there are still those out there that are fixated on what was, on opportunities missed, and can't, it seems, do anything but try to satisfy that empty hole with the only thing they have ever possessed in abundance: negativity. But I can tell you that you truly become who you surround yourself with, and lately, Fashion Bomb has been surrounded by platinum and gold selling artists, an invested label, award winning artists, and of course, our awesome fans and friends at our shows!! So, happy holidays to all, and our present to everyone when we get back in January will be a brand new record to share! Thanks again, stay tuned, and there is much much more to come!!!

We are back in the studio, working hard on the new album!! As many of you have
heard at our latest shows, we have been throwing a few new songs into our sets

released after the first of the year, so 2009 is definitely looking to be a
great one for Fashion Bomb!! Also, keep an eye on the issue of Metal Edge

Well, there were highs and lows in Rockford... The lows were that 12:00 midnight
came too soon for all of our all ages fans, who were only able to catch 30
minutes of our set, but the highs were everything else! We thank everyone who
made it out to the show Saturday, it was a great time! Our Wauconda crew was
out in force, the Joker and his goons showed up, a bevy of area bands came out
to rock, and we played with friends we havent played with in a long time. We
even had a first...autographing a passport! I'm not sure if that will get the
bearer any special treatment, but hey...it can't hurt, right? LT's in Rockford
was definitely the place to be, and we are looking forward to coming back
through! But for now....back to the studio, and back to the new album....if you
havent gotten the first CD, go to the merch section and pick it up now! Spread
the word as always, and there will be more big announcements to come!!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to Metro on Saturday! It was a great
time, and we had an awesome time playing for everytone!! A big thanks to Thrill
Kill Kult for inviting us to play, and thanks to The Last Vegas for their great
set as well! The staff at Metro make it easy to perform, and treated us great!
Also, a HUGE thank you to Dan-o, who you might know from Danolite entertainment,
or who you may know as the frontman for Lateralus (formerly Aenima), Chicago's
Tool Tribute. He came out with his lighting magic for this show, and did a
spectacular job putting that visual magic together for our set! Also thanks to
Bode and Sam, and Leece our great crew for the night for all their help! In
addition to all of our technical help, Asrock and Jason from our label Full
Effect Records came down from Detroit with a box of the newly re-issued albums
hot off the press for Devils to Some, Angels to Others!! If you don't have the
new version, get them now while they are hot!! We have many new things in the works coming up,
so stay tuned for more! And be sure to come out to LT's in Rockford IL on the
18th of this month! We will be headlining that show and are looking forward to
rocking out again!! More to come!

Acid, Trace and I made our way down to Q101 studios last night to tape our
interview to air on Local 101 on Sunday night. The lovely Ashley greeted
us...congrats on your gig with Victory Records, by the way, Ashley!...and we
hung out in the green room filming an impromptu tour of the microwave (more on
that in the future). We then headed into the studio and had a great time with
Chris Payne; I won't get into it too much here, you'll have to listen to the
interview Sunday at 10pm on 101.1 FM, Chicago! Be listening though, as we gave
Chris a demo version of one of our newest tunes "Press Delete", and he will be
playing it during the show! After wrapping the interview, we joined Chris at
Harry Carey's tavern to catch a great Chicago band Absentstar. They are very
similar to Muse and did a great set...definitely check them out, they will be
doing big things! A great time was had by all, and we have been promised that
Chris will be joining us at our Metro show on Saturday October 4th, so come out and join us then....!!

Getting us out of the studio lately has been an exercise in futility, but we are
firing up the Drones and preparing to perform a couple of really awesome shows
in October..... On the 4th, we will be returning to Metro to play with My Life
With the Thrill Kill Kult! This is an 18 and up event, and it is the final show
of the Thrill Kill's 20th anniversary tour, so you can expect debauchery,
drinking, and defenestration...okay Metro has no windows, but you get the point!
This show will rock hard, and we are pulling out all the stops, and resurrecting
a few favorites for this show! Get your tickets now before they sell out! We
are also looking forward to making our debut in Rockford IL on the 18th of
October. We will be playing LT's with Dies Mali, Lockjaw, Trick Pretty, and
Mute Grey... this is a pre-Halloween show but we will rock the house loud enough
to wake the dead! There are so many more announcements to come..please spread
the word and get ready for more!!

Hello again! Fresh off of our show with our friends in Dirge at Clearwater
Theater, and back in the studio. We just made our follow up announcement to
joining the Full Effect Records family, and we are truly excited...that we are
working with Raymond Herrera of Fear Factory and Arkaea on our new studio album!
We have been fans of Fear Factory and Raymond for a long time, so when Acid and
I sat down with him and talked about doing this record, we were thrilled when he
agreed! So, Fashion Bomb will be off to Los Angeles to record in the short
term, and we are looking forward to having Raymond's artistry influence the new
songs we have created. You have gotten a small taste of the new material at the
select live shows we have played in the past months....prepare yourself for the
embodiment of Era 2.0....and even more announcements to come!!

Acid, Trace, Drone1 and I braved the crack of dawn traffic and travelled to
Detroit yesterday to join our new label mates Faster Pussycat at their show, and
to also celebrate the anniversary of the creation of Full Effect Records! After
avoiding everything from sub-par drivers to flying construction cones, we
arrived at The Colosseum. It was apparently the best gentlemen's club in
Detroit, and they took care of us very well. We had our VIP booths set aside,
and got a chance to relax before the show, get some good food, and catch up on
the tour. I was also really happy to catch up with my friend Marty Casey of
Rockstar INXS fame, who is now frontman for LA Guns. He updated me on all his
goings on and touring, and it was great to see more Chicago musicians being
successful! Jason and Asrock were being great hosts and we all headed over to
the show, ready to make it an evening of rock. As we arrived, we also found our
friend Trent drumming for Dogs Divine opening the show. The show was great, it was packed at The Ritz, and
we made a lot of new friends. Marty kicked ass with LA Guns, and Faster
Pussycat was great as well! Thanks to Noreen, publicist extraordinaire, I
can't wait to work on getting the word out for Fashion Bomb, and thanks to
Asrock, Jason, Taime and Full Effect for making the night great! Being the
hardcore travellers we are, we got on the road back to Chicago that night and
arrived at around 5am, to recover and get back into the studio to work on the
new album....more on that announcement coming soon!!! Stay tuned!

developments and work going on, we did make it out to O'Malleys on Saturday to
rock out with our friends in Habit of Force and A.D.D. A Texas Funeral also
played, and a good time was had by all. There are a ton of great shows coming
up, so keep your eyes out and definitely come and say hello...we will probably

The weekend kicked off in grand style at the Pearl Room on Friday night! We had
a blast playing for everyone, and the evening was a great time. Face Time
Police, False Faced, and Nerve Damage kicked off the evening and all did a
superb job rocking the house. Our legion was definitely in the house, including
a few long lost souls....yes TJ and Amy, that means you!! It was great to see
all the familiar faces in the crowd and meet some new ones after the set and
throughout the evening! We were pleased to present some new material, and the
pit going on showed us to bring out some more new stuff very soon, so count on
it! Mushroomhead put on a great show, and capped off a great night of music!
Thanks again to all who came out... stay tuned to your email list or here on the

Sometimes you just have to laugh. I can say that in this business, you meet a
variety of individual characters, and once in a while, one just makes you shake
your head. A hired gun musician for an act we recently played with apparently
decided to shoot his mouth off about what a rockstar he is, and how Fashion Bomb
can f-off. He does this (of course) in a blog online, so he can hide behind
the internet. Despite his proximity to us all evening, he didn't once have
anything to say to our face. So many of our songs are about being a real
man/woman, and not a coward who can only vent online, I can only shake my head
and have my lyrical observations solidified. The true musicians we have
encountered have been amazing to work and play with....Marilyn Manson, American
Headcharge, Godhead, to name just a few. True artists have no need to create
drama to fill a void, they create art. So, while this hired gun busily plays
other people's art, hopefully he doesn't corrupt it along the way. We will have some more art for you on
June 27th with Mushroomhead! More to come!!

night to come out and rock with us and Hanzel und Gretyl at Logan Square
Auditorium!! We had a blast, returning to the stage after a six month writing
break, armed with some new tunes! From tunes like "The Meek", "The World Will
End With Us", "Technological Singularity", and "Wasted World", to old favorites
like "Low" and "SS", we were happy to share music with all of you again!! For
those that were unable to get out on Tuesday night, you can catch these new
tunes when we crank them out at our show with Mushroomhead on June 27th!!
Tickets are cheaper in advance, so get them now! So, until then.....thanks

I ventured up north last night to catch Sevendust at
Austin's Saloon...It was a great show, and Sevendust
rocked as usual...I was a bit skeptical about the
venue, and parking was an issue, but was pleasantly
surprised about the sound for Sevendust. The sound
for the openers was not that wonderful, but they got
the kinks out in time for the big guns. I guess the
mandatory shuttle bus to travel about 100 feet was
intersting as well; I will chalk it up to an adventure
in safety! It was good to see some familiar faces at
the show, Shaun Glass from Dirge, Stephen Jensen from
F3 Studios, Jason Meudt from Lazeron doing his Dean
Guitars thing, and some familiar faces from Fashion
Bomb shows past! I am looking forward to catching
some more shows at Austin's, and going to some more
shows armed with fliers....so keep your eyes peeled,
we will be out in force in the coming weeks! More to come!

vantage point from the box...Trace has also been out

Just a brief note to say goodbye to a good friend in
the music community here is Chicago... Evie Carrano,
massage therapist for every major act in the U.S. as
they come through the area, and a music lover passed
away from leukemia after being diagnosed only last
week. I remember one of many evenings hanging out
with Evie after a show at Metro(this time also with
the guitarists from Meshuggah), and talking about how
they couldn\'t have gotten through the show without
Evie working on their hands before they played. When
someone as young as she was passes away, it
underlines the need for everyone to live as though
each day is important, and to use your time as though
it was a precious pngt. We will miss you Evie!

Lots of great things happening at the moment, and the seeds planted over the past few weeks are beginning to bear fruit. You may have heard the line Era 2.0 being tossed around, and everyone will definitely know what that means shortly! We have been writing some killer new material (the debut of "Sick One" at our show with Dope was just the beginning!), and for our next show we will be showing off more new material! We will also be showing you some new images very soon that will explain everything, and make it all too clear that we are intent on bringing fresh new material and perspective to the masses. 2008 is definitely our year, and we want to take you all along for the ride!! Thanks for all of your messages of support, and get ready to rock once again!!
